Install
macOS Installation
- Open your Downloads folder
- Double-click
Bookkeeping_OCR_v3.0.0.dmg - Drag the "Bookkeeping-OCR" icon to your "Applications" folder
- Eject the DMG when the copy is complete
Windows Installation
- Open your Downloads folder
- Double-click
Bookkeeping_OCR_v3.0.0.exe - Click "Install" in the installation wizard
- Choose installation location (default: Program Files)
- Click "Finish" when complete
Launch
macOS
Open your Applications folder and double-click Bookkeeping-OCR
Windows
Search for "Bookkeeping-OCR" in the Windows Start menu and click to launch

Troubleshooting
macOS: "Bookkeeping-OCR is damaged and can't be opened"
This is a standard macOS security warning for apps downloaded from the internet. To fix:
- Open Terminal (Applications → Utilities → Terminal)
- Paste this command and press Enter:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Bookkeeping-OCR.app
- Try launching the app again
Windows: Antivirus warns of unknown publisher
This is normal for new applications. Bookkeeping-OCR is safe and does not contain malware.
- Click "Run anyway" or "More info → Run anyway"
- If prompted by Windows Defender, click "Allow"
- Add Bookkeeping-OCR to your antivirus whitelist if necessary
App won't launch
If the app doesn't launch after installation:
- Restart your computer and try again
- Check permissions: Ensure you have admin rights (Windows) or the app isn't quarantined (macOS)
- Check disk space: Make sure you have at least 50 MB of free space
- Reinstall: Uninstall the app completely and reinstall from a fresh download
- Contact support: If the problem persists, email support@bookkeeping-ocr.com with details about your operating system and error messages
Installation fails
If installation doesn't complete successfully:
- Disable antivirus temporarily during installation
- Ensure admin rights: Right-click the installer and choose "Run as administrator" (Windows)
- Try downloading again: The file may have been corrupted during download
- Check disk space: Ensure sufficient free space on your hard drive
- Contact support: Email support@bookkeeping-ocr.com if issues persist
