Install

macOS Installation

  1. Open your Downloads folder
  2. Double-click Bookkeeping_OCR_v3.0.0.dmg
  3. Drag the "Bookkeeping-OCR" icon to your "Applications" folder
  4. Eject the DMG when the copy is complete

Windows Installation

  1. Open your Downloads folder
  2. Double-click Bookkeeping_OCR_v3.0.0.exe
  3. Click "Install" in the installation wizard
  4. Choose installation location (default: Program Files)
  5. Click "Finish" when complete

Launch

Open your Applications folder and double-click Bookkeeping-OCR

Troubleshooting

macOS: "Bookkeeping-OCR is damaged and can't be opened"

This is a standard macOS security warning for apps downloaded from the internet. To fix:

  1. Open Terminal (Applications → Utilities → Terminal)
  2. Paste this command and press Enter:
    xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Bookkeeping-OCR.app
  3. Try launching the app again
Windows: Antivirus warns of unknown publisher

This is normal for new applications. Bookkeeping-OCR is safe and does not contain malware.

  • Click "Run anyway" or "More info → Run anyway"
  • If prompted by Windows Defender, click "Allow"
  • Add Bookkeeping-OCR to your antivirus whitelist if necessary
App won't launch

If the app doesn't launch after installation:

  1. Restart your computer and try again
  2. Check permissions: Ensure you have admin rights (Windows) or the app isn't quarantined (macOS)
  3. Check disk space: Make sure you have at least 50 MB of free space
  4. Reinstall: Uninstall the app completely and reinstall from a fresh download
  5. Contact support: If the problem persists, email support@bookkeeping-ocr.com with details about your operating system and error messages
Installation fails

If installation doesn't complete successfully:

  • Disable antivirus temporarily during installation
  • Ensure admin rights: Right-click the installer and choose "Run as administrator" (Windows)
  • Try downloading again: The file may have been corrupted during download
  • Check disk space: Ensure sufficient free space on your hard drive
  • Contact support: Email support@bookkeeping-ocr.com if issues persist
